Petrea King & Greg Fitzgerald Seminar

Petrea King Seminar:

Strategies for Attaining Inner Peace, a Calm Mind & Your Optimum Health in a Challenging World.

NSW Senior Australian of the Year 2012

Through her Quest for Life Foundation over the past 20 years, Petrea King has assisted at least 80,000 people and their families come to terms with profound suffering. Many were terminally ill, others suffered depression, sickness, deep grief, loss and tragedy. Diagnosed in 1983 with acute myeloid leukemia and given three months to live, Petrea understands all too well the impact of extreme stress and trauma. Petrea spent a year in a monastery near Assisi in Italy, meditating and confronting unacknowledged traumas in her life – and while there went into remission. On her return, she focused on naturopathy, counselling and teaching meditation and developed her own approach to compassion and support. She also delivers lectures and addresses conferences, and often travels to rural areas to facilitate workshops for those unable to travel to the Centre. Petrea has found time to write seven books, including three for children & a nutrition book, appears on radio (regularly on ABC radio) and television programs and fulfils numerous commitments to individual patients. She has been a guest speak at the prestigious “The Causes of Happiness” Conferences at Darling Harbour, & has addressed many professional medical organisations on the various aspects of emotional, mental & physical health. She is highly esteemed internationally as a world expert on the role of the mind in health & disease, & is looking forward with excitement to sharing her profound wisdom with us.  Petrea says: “ In order for us to successfully cope with the challenges we each encounter in life, we need to be able to use our minds rather than be used by our minds. The capacity of the human spirit to embrace & make meaning of our challenges is wondrous to behold”.

Greg Fitzgerald, who has been in osteopathic & naturopathic private practice for almost 30 years, will also be speaking on “Overcoming Anxiety: Stopping the Nerve Leaks!” Greg will be speaking on his personal & clinical experience of anxiety, which today has reached epidemic proportions, affecting people of all ages & walks of life. Greg has found that when people become aware of the insidious effects of nerve leaks, & take appropriate action, the results are exceptional.
